Amal Clooney
Amal Clooney, born Amal Alamuddin, a Lebanon native, is a Lebanese and British barrister who was a human rights advocate for a long time. An alumni of Oxford University and New York University School of Law her extensive and impressive profession in the areas of international law and human rights have won her international acclaim. Her clients include several notable nation-states including Armenia and its struggle for recognition by the Turkish government recognize the Armenian Genocide. Amal Clooney was married to American actor George Clooney and became a household brand in the popular media in the year 2014. In the years prior to this she was respected and admired in the legal world for her achievements in defending clients. Her job is to represent multinational corporations in court proceedings and negotiations about government regulation, in addition to human rights and social justice. As of 2015, she was a barrister one type of legal representative in British court at the London-based Doughty Street Chambers.
