John Denver was a superstar singer who touched millions with his pop-folk songs and many of them located in Colorado. He was born Henry John Deutschendorf Jr. in Roswell New Mexico, he was in the love of Colorado and eventually moved to Aspen. Denver's anthems for his adopted state has drawn a lot of people to Colorado. G. Brown of Colorado Music Hall of Fame, the hall's curator of fame said: "I don't believe there anyone else who has as much a connection to Colorado as John Denver." Denver was inducted into the Hall of Fame as its initial member in the year 2011. Denver is today the international face of Colorado. Through my travels, I've met people from New Zealand or the other side. If you inform them you're from Colorado, the first words they say are"Oh John Denver. Brown stated. Take Me Home Country Roads written by Bill Danoff and Denver after his brief time with folk bands and was his debut Top 10 solo hit. Danoff wrote the tune with the inspiration of Johnny Cash, but Denver discovered the song's early versions and was aware that the song would be a top 10 hit. Danoff recorded the song a couple of days after having performed in Washington D.C. before an large crowd who were very appreciative.
